'80s Toys Recycled

This last week I've been sorting through tons of family photos, and I found a bunch from when my sister, Jen, and I were younger. I came across several photos that include many of my old toys. I am a huge nostalgic, as you know, and while I'm definitely not a hoarder, I kinda wish I had held onto all these toys because they were totally '80s - and totally cool. At least from a kid's standpoint. My parents handed many of my old toys down to Jen, and many of them eventually went onto toy heaven.

Of course I had a Caboodle!
Behind me is my old Pumpkin Farm toy (1981)
which, of course, was given to Jen.

Jen also inherited my old Dolly Pops Fashion Show set.

Jen also inherited
my Playskool Lil Ladybug
Playmates turntable and records
and my Magic Wand Speaking Reader by Texas Instruments.
I've since reclaimed the record player/records, and everything still works!

Jen had been playing with my Cabbage Patch Kids Colorforms
but was interrupted by an important phone call. ;)

Jen also dressed up in my old Halloween costumes.
This particular year she chose Apricot from Strawberry Shortcake.
(I wrote about them all here)

One particular toy wasn't really a toy at all - it was my old Strawberry Shortcake tricycle, and it was inherited twice! My dad bought it new for me in the early '80s, then Jen inherited it in the early '90s, and finally it was passed on to my cousin Kailey in 1997. I loved how happy she was to use it, oblivious to the fact that it was a hand-me-down from her 18- and 8-year-old cousins!

(and the bike still looked great!)
